{Medieval Revisited}
The following piece was handed down by a friend's grandmother. It used to be sitting in her foyer and after she passed away my friend took it as her own. It is over 40 years old, a bit dated, and in need of some updating. My friend wanted something medieval looking to bring out the designed cut outs on the piece. She chose Emperor's Silk and Slate.
You can see that the finished piece looks every bit Medieval! Isn't it fabulous??
Before & After {Vintage Vanity Restored}
I just recently refinished this little beauty for a little girl's birthday. It was purchased at a online yard sale for $15 and was less than what was expected when it was picked up. The owner was ready to resell this piece, but decided to have it refinished and customized instead. Thank goodness they did because look how amazing this little beauty turned out! I refinished in Annie Sloan Antoinette chalk paint and distressed it a little. Then I finished it in a clear wax. I painted the pulls and hardware in white. It is just so shabby chic!
